Komal Ganatra (31), from Savarkundla in Amreli, Guajarat married New Zealand based Shailesh Popat 7 years ago. 15 days later she was thrown out by her in-laws for not giving dowry. Popat also deserted her and went back to New Zealand.

Komal then approached the police and every other related Government agency to seek justice to bring back her husband. After getting no response from the Government, she decided to work her way into the system to bring about a change in it.
